The MIDAS Electronic Systems Skillnet collects the following Trainee Profile Data from attendees on the training courses it organises:

  • First Name and surname
  • Email address and phone number
  • Gender and age range
  • County of residence
  • NFQ level attained and details of their employment status
  • Company name and address
  • Occupational category

MIDAS Electronic Systems Skillnet are a Data Processor of the above Trainee Profile Data. We collect this data on behalf of Skillnet Ireland only and we do not use this data for any other purpose.  The legal basis upon which We collect this data is legitimate interest. We retain this data until We enter it on the Skillnet Ireland database and do not use this data for any other purpose. Skillnet Ireland is the Data Controller of this Trainee Profile Data.

By submitting the Trainee Profile form, trainees give consent to the MIDAS Electronic Systems Skillnet and Skillnet Ireland to collect and process their personal data for the necessary legitimate interest of managing and delivering the course for which they have applied and in accordance with their privacy policy (see below). Skillnet Ireland and MIDAS Electronic Systems Skillnet comply with all applicable Data Protection Legislation in the processing of this information.

Trainees can withdraw their consent at any time by sending an email to gerry.byrne@midasireland.ie. The collected data will be shared with Skillnet Ireland which is part-funding this course from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills (DES). Names and email addresses may also be shared with the training course providers, strictly to facilitate the delivery of the requested training. The data will be used by DES to provide it with statistical information only in aggregate format. Skillnet Ireland contracts third parties to fulfill requirements of the DES for compliance reviews of the training programmes we provide, quality assurance and to verify attendance at training. You may be contacted either by telephone or email for these purposes only.
