MIDAS member, Infineon Technologies has announced plans to significantly expand its Research and Development (R&D) presence in Ireland within the next four years by over 100 new jobs in the Cork and Dublin sites. The jobs, all highly skilled engineering positions, will be split evenly between the Dublin and Cork R&D sites of the company and will bring the total workforce of Infineon in Ireland to over 300.

The investment will also see the expansion of R&D facilities in both Cork and Dublin. The Infineon research teams in Ireland are focused on IP development for the automotive and consumer markets. The new hires will help development of new technologies and products that will help drive digitalization and decarbonization on a global scale.
