JOIN MIDAS IRELAND FOR A SHOWCASE OF RESEARCH AND
A DEBATE FOCUSED ON ‘COMMERCIALISING YOUR RESEARCH’
Wednesday 6th November from 10am – 12pm (Time will be set aside for Q&A)
MIDAS Ireland, Microelectronics Industry Design Association, is hosting a Research in Action Forum as part of Microelectronics Week 2013. The event is focused on showcasing some of the best examples of research happening in both industry and academia in Ireland and additionally on sharing knowledge about how to commercialise research projects.
Research projects on display will include submissions from:
1. Letterkenny IT
2. Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI)
3. NUI Galway
4. NUI Maynooth
5. Tyndall National Institute
6. UCC
7. UCD
8. UL
Speakers will tell their story and give people an insight into how they worked to commercialise their research. Following their discussion time will be set aside for Q&A.
In addition to an Opening Address from John Blake, Chairman of MIDAS Ireland and Director of ON Semiconductor, speakers on the day will include:

• David Moloney, CTO, Movidius
• Mark Barry, Executive Director, Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI)
